A PhD position is immediately available at the Institute of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry of the University of Barcelona (IQTCUB).
A 3 years PhD fellowship grant available to join a research project entitled "Theoretical and computational investigation of molecular magnets and extended systems as candidates of exotic nanomaterials with useful properties" (reference project PRI-2011-4).
The project involves continuous collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology in Bombay (Prof. Sambhu Datta; http://www.chem.iitb.ac.in/people/Faculty/prof/snd.html) and will require travelling to India one or two months per year with travel and living expenses covered by the research project.
Potential candidates should have a recognized Master degree, preferably in theoretical and computational chemistry or similar, have a good background in quantum chemistry, quantum mechanics or solid state physics, have a good English level and be prompt to travel.
