97 postdoctoral positions available for specialization at a CSIC centre or Institute

What are JAE/DOC?

JAE/DOC 2010 are 97 postdoctoral positions, (for a term of 36 months), available for specialization at a CSIC centre or Institute. The starting salary for JAE/DOC 2011 is 27.540,24 euros per year. Selected candidates can expect to start within three months from the date of publication of the list of eligible candidates.

Who can apply?

Candidates have to fulfill the following requirements:

  • To hold a PhD doctor degree or expecting to hold it by the time of delivering supporting documentation.
  • To have completed PhD after 15/01/2002.
  • To have performed at least 18 month of post doctoral activity at a different center than the CSIC hosting centre or completion of the PhD at a different institution than CSIC.
  • Elegible applicants should not have been awarded a postdoctoral contract of the CSIC´s I3P or JAE programme.

How to apply?

The deadline for submissions is 15 January 2012. Applications will be submitted “on line” at the CSIC web page. Applicants must contact CSIC Institutes and Centers and members of the scientific staff of CSIC who are potential directors of the proposed research, before submitting an application. The list of host centers is included in annex V

Applications will include the following supporting documents:

  • Printed form resulting from the on line application.
  • Curriculum vitae of the applicant. (Annex II)
  • Report of the applicant´s research project. (Annex III)
  • Curriculum vitae, from the last ten years, of the working program director including the curriculum of the research work group from the last five years. (Annex IV)
  • A photocopy of the applicant’s Identity Card, Passport or resident´s permit number (NIE).

Supporting documents must be presented at the Registro General de la Agencia Estatal Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, sent to the following address:

“Vicepresidencia Adjunta de Programación Científica, Serrano 113, Madrid, 28006, Spain”. If the applicants were in a foreign country, the supporting documents could be presented at the Spanish Embassy or Consulate.
