The Government of Canada has introduced the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships to attract top-tier postdoctoral talent and to produce future research leaders. There will be 70 fellowships awarded annually. The value is $70,000 per year for two years. Canadian and international candidates are eligible for the Fellowships. Eligible candidates will have completed all requirements for the PhD between November 2, 2008 and December 31, 2011. The deadline for submission of applications for the next competition is November 2, 2011.
